Dotty Beanie |
Hello dear reader,
My Amy and I are away from home this week visiting friends.
Last week, I showed you the pair of socks that I have been knitting for myself. I thought I would show you my progress. I've successfully completed the Fish Lips Kiss heels. Now I must knit round and round until they come up far enough on my legs.

The hat at the top of the page is a Dotty Beanie. It's actually a deep dark red by Malabrigo Rios. The lighting in the room I am staying in is for studying not photograpy. ~smile~
I finished Slightly Bad Girls of the Bible by Liz Curtis Higgs. I'm reading It's Not Supposed to Be This Way by Lysa Terkeurst and Beside Still Waters by Tricia Goyer.
Did you know that you can listen to unlimited audiobooks, read unlimited ebooks, and even find sheet music on Scribd?
If you use my link, you'll get a 2 month free trial, and I will get a free month as well. I'm not an affiliate, it's just a neat perk that they have for their subscribers who tell their friends.
Well, that's all for this week. Soon I will need to begin making charity hats again. That's another post for another day.
Have a homemade, handmade, heartmade thrifty week!

I loved that book All the light you cannot see.
ReplyDeleteOh the beanies and the socks are so nice! sounds like some good reads too. Much love and prayers.
ReplyDeleteThanks Michelle. You're sweet.
DeleteLove your orange yarn in the orange cup photo.... and your socks are really looking great. I love Scribd and was successful to have several friends sign up with my link. I don't think I have to pay until the first of the year. I just love the audiobooks. I noticed you have a Ravelry account...I've been seeing lots of drama over there. Has it settled down yet?
ReplyDeleteHi Penny,
DeleteThe yarn looks orange because the lighting was bad. It's actually a dark red. Thank you though.
I'm so happy Scribd is working well for you and your friends!
Ravelry. Hmmm... I am trying to ignore the drama. I haven't really decided what to do, so for now I am turning the other cheek.
Blessings,
Laura
Oh my mom knits, but she has never made socks. How I would love to have that pair of socks as they look like cozy socks and I am a sucker for those.

DeleteHi Carol,
I've been surprised. They are not as hard as I thought they'd be. They just take a long time to make, because the yarn is thin and the needles are size 0! I'll bet your mama could do it. I'll be you could do it. There are tons of YouTube videos that teach.
Hugs,
Laura
