♥♥ How I am feeling ♥♥
I am quite well. I completed a one week no cheat Trim Healthy Mama challenge this past week. I did cheat once. I visited a friend, and she served me a sandwich for lunch. Manners were more important than perfection. I also finished my 21 day salad a day challenge on Instagram. I'm slowing down on salads a bit because of a queasy stomach. I am feeling better now. My current challenge is no sugar until Thanksgiving Eve. Unfortunately, I may need to modify that a bit. My husband just asked for a double layer yellow cake with extra chocolate fudge frosting for his birthday accompanied by vanilla ice cream. I think I'll be having a small slice. ~smile~
♥♥ On my mind ♥♥
All the things I need to do before the holidays. Last year's Christmas tree We don't decorate the tree until the Sunday after Thanksgiving. |
♥♥ My breakfast ♥♥
Monday's breakfast is going to be an egg scramble with spinach, bacon bits, and cheese. That's an S for Satisfying on Trim Healthy Mama.
♥♥ Right now I am ♥♥
Sitting across from my husband. He's working on his computer. I've been answering emails, and soon, I'll be saying goodnight. It's Monday evening as I write.
♥♥ I'm wearing ♥♥
My black knit dress. It's so comfortable. I have a shawl around my shoulders to ward off the chill. I call it Reyna Rematch on Ravelry. My Ravelry name is HarvestLaneLaura. If you're on Ravelry, please comment and tell me your name. We can follow each other!
♥♥ On my reading pile ♥♥
I'm still in the book of Hebrews by Paul the Apostle. I'm starting on chapter 12 this week. I am listening on Bible.com. That app has changed my life. I have read and listened to the Bible several times since I started using it almost ten years ago.
Home Sweet Tiny Home by Melody Carlson is on still on my bookshelf. I've been reading! Mrs. Carlson wrote A Christmas in the Alps that I reviewed earlier this year.
The Debutant's Code by Erica Vetsch one of my favorite authors ~ I just downloaded this book to my Kindle Fire today. I haven't started it yet. I'd better! I've got to review it at the end of the month. I adore Mrs. Vetsch's books.
The Power of a Praying Wife by Stormie Omartian is my current Scribd audiobook. Get 2 months free by clicking my link.

Oh my the picture of the pup is adorable. It surely feels safe and loved. Sounds like you are seriously working on getting fit. I like salad - but don't know if I could do them every day.
ReplyDeleteOnce in a while we have to cheat - or we just feel deprived and that is not good.
Good luck and blessings
Trying to eat better but this is a hard month for it!
DeleteHappy 🍁 Thanksgiving!
I love the doggy butt on a pillow photo. You are doing great with cutting your sugar. I need to do the same.
ReplyDeleteLOve the picture of the dog. Happy to hear about all your plans. You look marvelous darling.
ReplyDeleteHey, I just found your blog, and I love old fashioned blogging, so I'll be back! ;) I've found that raw greens are something I have to do in moderation -- too much and I definitely have stomach issues, too. I also have to regularly go off gluten for awhile to kind of reset everything when my stomach is upset. It'd be better if I just gave it up forever, of course, but like the rest of the world, I do love me some gluten-full carbs :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for talking back Torrie! I hope we'll be blog friends.
DeleteThat puppy is so cute like that! Thanks for sharing your peek into the life.
ReplyDeleteI get a lot of fun from her. 😉 Happy Thanksgiving.
