On my Needles... What I'm Reading

 Knitting and reading in my free time and little bits of snatched time are two of my favorite ways to enrich my life. 

 I hope you had a nice Valentine's Day. My husband and I went out for a nice dinner Monday evening using a gift card he received for Christmas. Yes, I knit all the way to the restaurant!

On my needles...

I finished the cuffs of my Foggy Gray Socks. They're waiting in my cabinet for me to settle in and weave in their ends. I'll get to it. ~smile~

My choices for February Socks

Remember the sock yarns waiting for their chance on the needles? I made my choice. This blue, pink, and white fingering weight yarn was hand dyed by my friend Jill. What a wonderful gift! Thank you Jill. 

I am naming them Berry Smoothie. They are project #4 in my Knitting for Joy 2023 fun. 

The first photo shows the colors more accurately. I've been knitting away, and forgot to take photos along the way. In fact, I've not even put this pair on my Ravelry account yet. I will. Hopefully, before I finish them! 

I couldn't resist! I had to cast on this pair as well a week or so later. How could they not be part of Knitting for Joy 2023? These will be project #5. Name is to be determined.

What I'm Reading...

I am focusing on one book this week. THE LINCOLN CONSPIRACY The Secret Plot to Kill America's 16th President—and Why It Failed.* Brad Meltzner is an amazing author. I'm not sure how Josh Mensch fits into the writing of the book, but this is one of the most mesmerizing history books I've ever read. I've already learned so much. The more real books I read about history, the more sense they make.
