This Special Blessing for You uses words and phrases that help children better understand what God wants to communicate to them. Each promise and declaration is based on the Aaronic Blessing found in Numbers 6:23–27: “The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; The Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”

My Thoughts:
This is a very nice picture book targeted to children ages 4-8. The Schrotenboers make the Aaronic blessing easy for parents, grandparents and others to share with their children. Think of the song that was wildly popular in 2020, "The Lord bless you, and keep you, make his face shine upon you and give you peace...." The focus was not only how the children could be blessed but on how the children could bless others as well.
This is lovely blessing and the illustrations really pop with color. They're not garish or strange like so many children's books. It's beautiful how Huges included all kinds of children in the book. It would make a great addition to any child's bookshelf.

I absolutely love that you have a book here that addresses the Aaronic blessing in the old testament. We have been reading the reading the old testament for over 5 years now in our weekly readings and the old testament has a lot to share about God and His nature. He never changes. It is refreshing to see a children's book share this. Blessings!
