I'm With the Penguin!

Okay, so, I know most folks are getting too much snow or not enough snow or too much ice or not enough ice.  Wait a minute- there's no such thing as not enough ice.  Unless it's 106 in the shade!

I just love how pretty the snow makes everything.  It covers the ugly that the winter exposes.  It transforms dull browns and grays into the magnificently enchanting, pristine, white beauty... flake by ornate flake.

It's also fun to make snowmen and snowballs and snow angels.  I want to make snow ice cream

So, if you have extra, will you please pass the snow?

May I Please Borrow a Cup of Snow?

Hello Ladies!
I live at the edge of the Ozarks in southern Missouri.  This morning we awoke to bitterly cold temperatures.  My arms are stinging with cold IN the house. ~smile~  Fortunately my sweet man crawled out of our very warm bed and stirred up the fire in the woodstove.  He also made coffee.  I smell bacon frying as I write this.  I have a request for my northern readers.

We have no snow.  Could you send a little, please?  I love a light blanket of snow to pretty things up!  If we must have the cold, I'd like a little snow to go with it.  It's only fair. Oh, don't tell anyone around here that I asked for snow, they'd all snowball me.  ~smile~

Feeling Thrifty and Frugal.......... BRRRR! It's Cold!

OH MY!

It's SO COLD!

BRRRRR!

BRRRR BABIES!!!

It's 13 outside right now, but I can feel the cold encroaching in the house.  I try not to use the propane and just use the wood stove.  I may break down.
First we'll try hot tea, sweaters, blankets, and maybe even some baking.  Trying to be thrifty.

Growing in Grace

I named my children with the meanings in mind.  I have a daughter named Amy.  It means beloved.  We are the beloved of the Lord.  I also have a daughter named Emily Anne.  Anne means full of grace.  It's wonderful to see the grace developing in all our lives.  Extending it to others can be as difficult as accepting it from God who loves us. ~smile~
Blessings,
Laura
