For God so loved YOU
that He gave His ONLY son
so that when
YOU believe in Him
YOU shall be saved.
That's my interpretation of John 3:16 for you this morning.
God's not waiting for you to be perfect.
God's not waiting for you to have your act together.
God's not waiting for you to wash away your own sins.
Those things are what Holy Spirit does best.
Come now.
Humble yourself.
Give your life to Jesus right now.
Just as you are.
Right now.
Even if you've already prayed for salvation,
you still need Jesus right now.
Whatever in your life is causing
pain or strife or confusion or agony,
give it to Jesus.
Pray and leave it to Him.
He is willing and able to take the weight* of it for you.
Come.
Now is the time to worship.
Be blessed friends.
If there's anything I can pray with you about,
please leave a comment.
If you'd rather I not publish it, please tell me.
Father God, bless these dear ones reading this.
Make their salvation sure.
Show yourself strong and loving in their lives
no matter what their needs.
In Jesus Christ's Name by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
*Matthew 11:8
Thank you, Laura! This was amazing. Good timing,
ReplyDeleteI have been feel a little anxiety lately. Why? Not sure. Been picking on myself too-- you know, why did I say that, do that, they probably hate me...ugh. Am I the only one who does that? Maybe I'm hormonal. :-P
Thank you for talking back. I'm glad the post was good timing for you.
DeleteLord God, please wash Sandi with the perfect peace that passes all understanding. Help her be a non-anxious presence in a chronically anxious world. Amen
Sandi, here's the key. I'm learning to use it myself.
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Be blessed and aware of Holy Spirit's whispers in your ear. He is with you and loves you deeply.
Thank you, Laura! This was very encouraging.
DeleteGod bless you!
My dear friend, what a beautiful and encouraging post. Ah, the love of our precious Savior... Whenever I think of Jesus Christ willingly going to the cross for ME it always brings tears to my eyes. We have been given such an amazing gift - the gift of salvation and grace. I am so thankful for the love of the Lord.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed Monday! Love and hugs to you!
Me too, Stephanie. I don't think we can even know the half of what it meant. OH, now I'm getting tears in my eyes. I'm so glad to call you friend!

ReplyDeleteOh Bridgette, I'm so glad. I had no plan to write it.
DeleteHoly Spirit just prompted me. Hugs!
Lovely! Amen!
ReplyDeleteYes!!
Have a great week Laura!
I'm still working on the "me" part too! A very long road ahead of me on that one!
Please pray for my husband, and son, medical, and me for my roof!
I am the woman who won't quit on that one, so the judge finally gives in just to get her to shut up :) , thanks, grin!
Dear Annie,
DeleteI am honored to pray for you. I've put you on my prayer list. Is the medical for all of you? I read your comment late at night, and it took me a moment to realize who the woman and judge you meant were. ~grin~
Please keep me updated. Do you need a new roof or repair? You can reply to me in the email. I won't put it on the blog.
Be blessed!
Laura
I have been reading your blog for awhile now. This post brought tears to my eyes, thank you! Could you pray that my husband and I could find a new home in the country that we both can agree upon? There is strive in this decision and we have struggled for nine long years on where we should go. Thank you.
