Time to Brew the Tea and Grab the Ice!

♥~♥~♥

One of the joys in life
is
brown paper packages
tied up in string....

Well..
yellow padded envelopes
and
brown cardboard
boxes wrapped in
packing tape.
~smile~

Thank you Sarah!

Seriously,
I had a squeal moment
today when I went to the
mailbox.

It's here!

The third and final book
in the Secrets of the Shetlands series
by Michael Phillips—
The Legacy!

I've been waiting so patiently.
The trouble is that I can read
faster than Mr. Phillips can write!

So guess what I'm going to do this afternoon?

Yes—make some iced tea and go to the Shetlands!

Care to join me?

Read my reviews of the first two books.

The Inheritance

The Cottage

Happy reading!

Laura
Keeping cool!

    1. I've said no to most reviews lately. I thought I wouldn't feel like reading. Instead I've read a lot more than usual since I'm so tired. So I am breezing through my reading list. I couldn't say no to this book. I must know how it all ends!

    1. I got in a few short chapters after my nap! Oh, it's going to be a treat to read a bit each afternoon. I put in a few stitches on a hat I'm knitting, too. I wish I could get an audible subscription so that I could listen to books as I stitch!

  7. That is a package that would make me squeal also! I really enjoy book series. Although it's sometimes hard to wait for the next book. :) Ice tea and a book sound like a perfect afternoon to me. I hope you enjoyed your time in the Shetlands!

  9. Laura, Sometimes the saying "Count your Blessings" becomes just that...a saying. I thought I would actually take pen and paper and write them down. Makes them more real when they are there on paper. Just wanting to let you know that you are on that list. Thank you for the impact you have in my life. God is smiling on you, adoring His good and faithful servant. Have a blessed day.
    Sending a gentle hug, Karla

    1. It's raining today and the breeze is cool, Amalia. I hope to snatch a few moments on the porch with hot tea this morning before the family's stirring!

  13. I think I forgot to comment but I love curling up with a good book and a glass of iced tea. I usually have a spring of mint and/or lemon depending upon the flavor of tea.
We are forecast for thunderstorms again so I'm going to do just that. Have a blessed coming week.

    1. That sounds wonderful to me Regina! I think I might put on some water, and make some iced tea. I've been reading The Icecutter's Daughter by Tracie Peterson. I think I'll finish it this afternoon. My Kindle says I have fewer than 30 minutes left in the book. It's a good book.
      Be blessed!
