Stitching Through My Stash!

I have a new year's goal. I want to spend time each day stitching through my stash. I have two small boxes of fabric, four or five skeins of yarn, and a few patterns I want to use up this year. To keep me going, I'm going to post about my progress. I may even set up a list in my sidebar to show finished projects and/or works in progress.

I'm so excited; I should get my sewing machine back from the shop this week. It turns out that the timing is off. It's going to get a good cleaning and have the timing reset. Thank you, Dad!
Soon I'll be ready to stitch through my stash!

Anyone want to join me?

  1. This is one of my goals too, although not all of my stash requires "stitching." LOL I am hoping to make use of my entire craft stash this year, to include the yarn I have never made anything with, and the 3 tubs of scrapbooking materials that I haven't used once in the past 3 years. I have tons of pictures, and everything i need to make some wonderful albums and just have never done it. And I do have a stash of fabric, but just haven't done anything with it yet b/c I'm such a poor seamstress and I get frustrated. Would love to use it up so I don't feel guilty having it sit there, unused. haha Thanks for the motivation!

  3. I'm starting the year off by sewing, making aprons for my Etsy shop, so I'll tag along with you and look forward to seeing what you come up with. Happy New Year!

  4. I have a large stash because I worked at a JoAnn that was closing and couldn't keep myself from buying every thing that caught my eye. Fabric and Yarn. There was just so much that was nice and at great prices. It has been a few years so this year I really want to work it all up. I just have too much and some of the new fabric prints are so cute I would love to be working with them instead. Can't wait to see what you do this year.
