Snowy Day Treats

It's yet another snowy day in Southwest Missouri. You all know I was set on making snow ice cream this winter. I got to do that last week. It was scrumptious! This time I mixed up a can of sweetened condensed milk, a big bowl of snow, and enough milk to help the condensed milk mix throughout. It was delicious.  Here's a healthy version.

Today I'm hoping to fill a big bowl again with snow. I had my son set my metal bowl out on top of his overturned canoe so that we can get nice clean snow.  Then I want to make another Little House in the Big Woods, Laura Ingalls Wilder, inspired treat. Maple Syrup Snow Candy!  Maybe you want to try it, too.

Enjoy!
Blessings,
Laura
Happy with the snow
It is winter after all!

  2. Well HELLO there, Laura!

Everyone I know has been making this snow ice cream, I think I need to have my boys go out and look for a clean batch of snow, so we too can try this!

It's been way to cold to even venture out and when you do, you stink in all the mud. I am ready for warmer weather and colorful flowers! :)

I hope you are doing well. I'm not on the computer much. I've missed my blogging friends!

    Have a wonderful "cozy" day!

    Hugs,
    Amy

  6. I am well, Amy. I've got three kids who use my computer to do school lessons. Then my husband uses it during the evening. It's not easy to get on it myself! That's why I haven't been writing so many posts lately.

    Have a great week!

  7. I must admit I find this fascinating, all that you can do from snow, wow. I read a post the other day about snow candy and that sounds great too. Have fun with it all. Now I wish we lived where it snowed. Thank you for sharing at Good Morning Mondays Laura, it is always a pleasure when you stop by. Blessings
