Spring has come with beauty in Southwest Missouri. The vibrant colors make me think of how exquisite Heaven will be for our senses. Everything is new. I always think about making changes in my life during Spring. I also get tired of homeschooling. I hope that we'll be able to take some time off this summer. ~smile~ What do you look forward to in Spring?
May you have a beautiful week.
God bless you!

Outside my window...
green glorious green! Daffodils are bobbing in the breeze. The vine on the tree is growing greener as are the trees themselves.
I am thinking...
I'm hungry!
I am thankful...
I am thankful...
that we have a home to live in. It is a real privilege. God has blessed us beyond what we deserve in many ways. Thank you God!
In the kitchen...
My son, Michael, is frying some eggs. He does it much better than I do.

I am wearing...
my old gray skirt and an old gray t-shirt along with my black Crocs.
I am going...
to stay home today. Hubby needed the van.

I'm going to make a list of things I want to clean and fix. We're cleaning and decluttering in the mornings and relaxing during the afternoons during our Spring break this week.
"Too often we compare our weaknesses with other people's strengths, only to find ourselves coming up short. What truly matters is simply lifting our faces to heaven and asking, 'Lord, what do you think? How do my work, my family, and my priorities look to you?'"

Happy at Home
Sounds like you've got a wonderful week ahead Laura! I loved the quote, indeed we must embrace the fact that we all have different strengths and weaknesses, and not be so hard on ourselves when we can't do something as well as someone else. As long as we are living pleasing to the Lord, there is great peace in that! Have a blessed and wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteYou're right Spicing Up. I hope you have a beautiful week.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,
I love your day book! It is so simple and so real! ie "I'm hungry" I like your ideas of working to declutter and organize in the morning and relaxing in the afternoon. Spring Break is so wonderful. I love lilacs too and mine are just starting to open here on the West Coast. I found you on Titus 2 Tuesdays.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to meet you Momo. I'll be over for a visit soon.
ReplyDeleteI love lilacs as well! Can't wait for them to bloom here!!! Have a great week!!
ReplyDeleteThey're my favorites Jodi! Thanks for talking back at Harvest Lane Cottage. You have handsome boys!

Love spring colors too..
I was in Kansas City last week!
ReplyDeleteHi Peggy,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for hosting the Day Books. I've read your blogs for many many years. In fact, I still have a flannel apron that your daughter sewed for me.
My lilacs are full this year and just starting to open. We have a bad storm expected this afternoon. I'm going to pray over them for protection as well as for our area. ~smile~
Have a beautiful week.
Have a wonderful week Annie. I enjoyed visiting your blog this morning!
ReplyDeleteIt's Wednesday, Judy, and the kids want to go to the library. We're going to go this morning instead of this afternoon, because a storm will be coming in. I want to be safe at home.
ReplyDeleteHi Elizabeth,
ReplyDeleteMy parents live in Kansas City. Were you there for pleasure?
Sounds like you have planned a delightful week! No school...I am sure the kiddos are thrilled :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the quote from Tricia Goyer - I thoroughly enjoyed it. And thank you for linking up with Roses of Inspiration. Hugs to you!
Oh, Laura, I needed this today. I have been feeling overwhelmed and down for many reasons. I seemed unable to see the beauty in anything of late. Your words have lifted me and I am turning my face Heavenward.
ReplyDeleteVisiting from Juana's.
Caring through Christ, ~ linda
Funny you should say that Linda. I've been down for a few days.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful glimpse into your day.... I enjoyed reading it. :) How fun also to have no school for a bit and to get some other things accomplished. I hope it is a delightfully productive and enjoyable week.
ReplyDeleteRight now the kids are outside playing after a morning at the library. It's supposed to rain soon; then I'll have them come inside for projects.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,

I should have made a list...my Spring cleaning has been a little of this and a little of that....washed the windows in our bedroom, the blinds and had the curtains cleaned...I am planning on turning the mattress and putting on a new dust ruffle when I start putting regular sheets on the bed instead of flannel....I washed the living room window and door but not the blinds, yet and the kitchen the same...today I shampooed the carpet in the Living room and the traffic area of the dining room....So a little bit here and there.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your break
Mama Bear
Hi Laura! I really loved the quote you chose. That strawberry totally looks like a heart!
ReplyDeleteGood Saturday Ash and Crafts!
ReplyDeleteI loved that strawberry. Every time I find a heart in nature, I just know it's God's way of saying, "I love you!".
Thanks for talking back.
What a lovely quote! Happy Spring! -Marci @ Stone Cottage Adventures
ReplyDeleteSami Bear, Girl you've been busy! I've not been that productive. We did get several things done though. Most notably, the shelves in basement cleaned and reorganized. Yay!
ReplyDeleteHope your vaca week was fun and productive. The quote you shared is very wise. Angels to you!
