♥ Looking out my window...
LOTS of wind. Hubby says that it's blowing in a storm this afternoon or this evening.
♥ I am thinking...
about God's love for us and His desire to bless us. I'm also thinking about my friend, Ellen, who is very ill with bacterial meningitis. She's in my prayers often.

♥ I am thankful...
that I now have a safe stove to cook on. Thank you Jesus for your gift through my friend Peggy and her husband.

♥ One of my favorite things...
Worthers Original hard caramel candies
♥ I am creating...
order out of chaos... at least that's what it feels like on Monday mornings. ~wink~
♥ I am wearing...
my grey slacks and black long sleeved t-shirt.

♥ I am hoping...
that my husband gets to our little home improvement project this week. We are going to paint the bathroom. He wants to remove the popcorn from the ceiling first. We've bought the ceiling paint and scraper he needs. He'd like to paint the room a soft green.

♥ In my kitchen...
Life happened last week, and my menu changed. Here are some things that will probably make their appearance this week.
- Grand Greek Salad (from Trim Healthy Mama Cookbook)
- Chicken Jalapeno Popper Soup (from Trim Healthy Mama Cookbook)
- Lentils and Rice
♥ In the Boardroom...
♥ A moment from my week...

*Update on Ellen: She had a major stroke Monday and was taken in for emergency brain surgery Monday night. Please continue to pray!
Update on Ellen March 21, 2017 7:26 p.m.
God is so good! Ellen was able to send me a text the other day. Whether she typed it or not, I don't know. I feel like she is coming back from the dead—again. She has been transferred to a rehabilitation hospital. Thank you for your prayers for her. She has a long way to go, but she is improving. Bless God!

Have a wonderful week. Remember, you are loved with an everlasting love by the creator of the universe, Father God, Jesus His Son, and Holy Spirit. Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you.

I so very much enjoyed my visit here today! And I LOVED listening to the birds!!
ReplyDeleteYou have blessed me tremendously. :-)
Hello Karen! So good to hear from you. I'd love you to email me at lauraofharvestlane at gmail dot com and give me your email for my address book so that I can write back directly.
DeleteI'm so glad you enjoyed yourself!
Laura
It has been crazy-windy here for going on 3 days.
ReplyDeleteI think a soft green will be so nice in a bathroom.
I smiled at your "boardroom" 😍
I hope things settle down weather wise. It's beautiful here today after the crazy storm system that crossed the US yesterday.
DeleteEnjoy today. I've got to do something so that something will get done now!
HI Laura,
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your day book and love the sounds of the birds.....
Sounds like Spring to me.........Hope you have a great
rest of the week hon,
Blessings, Nellie
Hi Nellie,
DeleteThank you! You'd be amazed how many comments I get about the birds!
It looks like Spring here. The sun is shining and leaves and grass are budding. I saw some yellow Forsythia bushes blooming yesterday in town.
Enjoy today!
Laura
I think life changed and so did our menu is an appropriate mantra for all of us, because life throws us a curveball on occasion. (Or lots of occasions)
ReplyDeleteYes. Lots of occasions. I've got teens that come and go now, and we rarely all sit down together.
DeleteVery much enjoyed the peak into your day!
ReplyDeleteWould love to see the bathroom when he is finished.
Would not have thought of that color for one.
But I do have a medium sort of sage green in my tv room.
The window light changes the color all day long,
And it is wonderful.
The best color choice I ever made for the house,
Other than pretty white.
You're always so sweet to me Annie. I wish we were neighbors. I'd make a pie and put on some tea! I think that perhaps the tone he's thinking of for the bathroom is a light sage green. I don't like anything in the mint range on walls. I'd like to paint my kitchen a creamy white. One thing at a time. Right now, we have a gallon of white ceiling paint. When he's done in the bathroom, I'm going to see how far I can get with it in the hallway!
DeleteBe blessed,
Laura
Praying for Ellen. May God bless her and her family.
ReplyDeleteMenus and life does change..ha At my house, all the time. smile.
The light green sounds really pretty.. I did my long hall in a light sage green.. and I love it.. Every color looks good with it.
Hope you have a blessed week.
Thank you for praying.
DeleteI ended up with chicken pot pies (store bought) since we have a meeting at our house tonight. Definitely not on the menu plan but life happens.
Still praying for Ellen, sweet friend. Hoping to hear good news about her soon!
