On my knitting needles... in my Scribd app... on my book pile!

Knitting and reading in my free time and little bits of snatched time are two of my favorite ways to enrich my life.

Harvest Lane Cottage

 Hello ladies!

What are you all up to this week?

On my Needles:

My knitting needles have been busy. I'm knitting fingerless mitts and a black wool hat.

This is a double brimmed watch cap for my husband. It has a provisional cast-on with scrap yarn that will be removed later.

My Everything November Mitt is coming along nicely.

On My Scribd App:

I'm listening to And Then There Were Crumbs by Eve Calder.

Don't forget to be in God's word. I use the Bible.com app. I'm listening to Matthew right now.

Have a lovely week! What is on your needles? What are you reading? I would love to know. The fun of blogging is in interacting with readers. Talk to you soon!

 Hugs to all,
 Laura

P.S. One of my favorite things is listening to audio books on Scribd.

I keep telling you about Scribd, because it has been such an game changer for me.

It's only $9.99 a month for unlimited audiobooks from major publishers, e-books, magazines, sheet music, podcasts, and documents as you want.

I get well over $9.99 a month in value. I love it.

You can get a free 2 month trial by using my Scribd  link. I'll get a month free, too, so it's win-win to try it out.

Here are some books I've enjoyed recently.

  1. I am currently reading a mystery book, but just finished Year of Yes. I was reading it for a book club and I am thankful that it is finished as I did not care for the book at all.

    1. I hadn't heard of that one Carol. I won't look into it. I find that I often don't want to read the book my club chooses. I am rethinking my membership.

    1. Hi Patsi!
I had help from friends, but much of my learning about knitting has come from YouTube videos. ~smile~

  4. On my knitting needles ... a scarf that I started when our firstborn was a baby. He now has a baby of his own. It may be time I pull it out and finish it, if I still remember how after all this time.

Your list of recently listened to books sounds interesting. I'll have to see if our library has some of them.

    Blessings~

  6. Good morning! I've got my second square for a memory blanket for my friend's children cast one (finished the first square yesterday). Reading a so-so New Adult novel called When It's Real. I haven't been able to get into audiobooks, what with having a young child, but when she's older and doesn't need my attention every four seconds, haha, I plan on trying. :) Have a great day! :)

Thanks for writing me back!

This life only works with Jesus. The next life is a continuation of this one—make sure you spend it with Jesus. Jesus is the only way to God the Father!
