Do you ever feel like you're behind from the moment you awake in the morning? Maybe the alarm went off but you didn't rise? Just five or ten more minutes, as though the fatigue will flee if you wait just a bit longer? This is something I struggle with a lot. We tend to burn the midnight oil a little too often at my house. I've been thinking about this lately— perhaps because the early mornings hold such promise. I know that on the days that I get up and moving before the kids awaken I feel calmer and more in control. So, with that in mind, I've decided to make changes. Oh, the fear and trepidation of writing this where my husband can see it!
I intend to:
Rise earlier.
Spend time with God.
Plan my day.
Get busy.
Won't you join me?

I have never been an early riser, but this post really makes me want to try hard at it! :) Great post!
ReplyDeleteI have been thinking this same thing! Thanks for the encouragement!

Good for you! I've always been an early riser; hate burning daylight by sleeping, that's why darkness. Today, I was up around 5:30 but went to bed late last night and have paid for it today. What works for me is early to bed, early to rise which is what's happening tonight/tomorrow.
