2nd Chemo Day Prayer Request
Hi friends,
I have my second round of chemo today. I was ill during the last cycle for over two weeks. Please pray for me that I will have a quicker recovery this time and not be so ill. Please pray that this chemo shrinks the cancer to the point where the next step, surgery, is easy! Thank you!
Thank you for continuing to pray for Cheryl's niece, Kristen, too. I haven't heard any updates yet. Cheryl's blog is Homespun Devotions. I'm sure she will give updates there.
I may be away from the computer for a few days. Thank you again for praying! God listens to you ladies. Seek him. He loves you so much! No matter what you are going through, you're going through it with Him. Lean in, listen for his voice.
Having trouble hearing the voice of God? One sure way to hear is to read His Word the Bible. Holy Spirit will make things stand out to you. Trust HIM. Ask Him to help you hear. Quiet the other voices around you. Get quiet. Listen. You'll hear Him.
Thank you God for hearing us, and thank you for speaking to us in your still small voice. Please help the dear folks reading this to hear your voice clearly. If there are ones who have not given their lives and hearts to you, I pray that they will find salvation in you right now. I ask it all in Jesus' precious Name and by the power of the Blood of Jesus. Amen.
Hugs to you all!

ReplyDeleteHi Laura,

Please Lord help Laura to handle the chemo well and may it do its work and shrink things so that surgery will work out beautifully. Jesus is the same Healer today, as he was over 2000 years ago. Jeremiah 17:14 Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.
ReplyDeleteLaura, you are one of the people on focus, that our family prays for without fail. I know that Jesus will use this illness to his Glory so that you will be a testimony to others. I feel so helpless that I cannot be there for you in person. Feel free to email me with any need you have, or just to talk or pray. I thank you, so much for taking the time to come here to update us and keep us informed, even though you have times when you're not feeling like doing anything but rest.
Dearest Laura, Am praying for you, Feel so helpless and sometimes the words seem inadequate but finding some comfort in knowing that the Lord only gives us what He knows we can handle. I have never been in your situation, going through chemo, radiation, etc..so I can only imagine how terrible it is. Know that God hears us all praying to Him, asking for His Grace and healing for you. Be strong in your faith, and in the quiet moments listen to God's comforting voice as He assures you He is right there with you and will NEVER leave your side. Tell Him when you are afraid, angry, hurting, anxious, sick...He wants us to have a personal relationship with Him, and there's nothing that says more personal than to tell Him exactly how you feel, what you are thinking and what you believe and know He can do. Ask for extra strength to accomplish whatever He has planned out in His will for you. He knows you are a wonderful disciple of His and are spreading his glory and love to everyone you come in contact with. Get plenty of rest and God Bless you, you are an inspiration to me, Karla
